Removing door guards
Removing door guards
How do I get off those little things that run along the door... geeze, I can't think of a better way to describe them. They are the things that protect the doors from door dings and stuff. They seem to be glued on and I would like to get them off w/o destroying them... any ideas? The paint doesn't matter, one is crappyily prepped and the other is gonna be repainted.
Thanks,
Douglas

moulding ?
runs the back edge of the door (door edge guards)
runs horisiontally(sp?) along the center (body line) of the door (moulding)
From the factory should be applied with double sided tape. You can put masking tape on the door to protect the paint and use a sharp putty knife to cut thru the dbl sided tape (being careful not to dig into the door paint) or, just simply get under one end and rip 'em off. I guess that's what you were asking ?
