Steering Column

Have an issue with my steering column... It seems to be "bent down" or loose by about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch... ie: the wheel can be moved up about the same distance. I am not sure how to get the column "tight" again.. It doesn't seem to affect the performance, just feels funny when you drive it... Much thanks for any help.

If it's what I'm thinking.....down inside of the column there are 3 bolts(maybe 4)that work themselves loose. You will need to tear the column apart to tighten these bolts. If you have ever taken the column apart or changed the steering wheel, it should be pretty easy.Except for that damn retaining ring
You will need a long extention to reach those bolts.

I'm not sure what you mean by your post but if you are talking about the whole column moving, then up under the lower panel there are two 1/2"(?) nuts that hold on an angle brace, and under that 2 more that actually hold down the steering column. try tightening these. If thats not the problem, sorry about misunderstanding your post
