Leaking T-TOPs

Is is possible to get the T-TOPS on my 89 IROC to stop leaking completely?! They leak along the doors, and in the back. Also, my tripometer just stopped working, any suggestions?

Thank you.

This may be your lucky day. When I got my IROC with t-tops they leaked very badly also. I called the GM dealer and got replacement weather stripping, called the local glass shop and had them put it in, leaks stopped completely. Make sure that you get the right part, you want the one that goes all the way areound the t-top and down the door post. They are kind of pricey, but you know the alternative. About the leak along the windows, there is also a piece of weather stripping that goes along there. However, there is a tech article about adjusting the windows so that they go all the way up. I would probably try this before replacing that piece as well. Good luck.

Sorry, forgot this in the first post. While it is at the glas shop have them adjust the hatch as well. This is a common cause of leaks (so the shop tells me) and it would be leaking in the same place as the back of the t-tops. They did this for free when they installed the weather stripping and it only took them a few minutes. it might be in your best interest to have this checked also.
