doors/mirriors
whats with the damage on these doors where the mirriors mount to them? Is this a comon thing that gets damaged on our cars.I bought 3 cars in the last month and one has a bow going out on the drivers side,and one has the same thing on the passangers side.Like people hang on them our somthing?Luckly I got a spare of each.I will watch out for that one alot closer in my future purcheses

Overtightening the mounting bolts, probably. The door skin isn't exactly very beefy. Guess GM figured "the tighter the better". At least they don't have rust underneath.

I mean a big bow,Like half an inch .Its just in the 6 or 8 inches where the mirrior bracket ataches to the door skin.I can stick my finger between the weather strip and the glass its that much.I didnt notice when looking them over.Gotum home and evaluating them and thats just somthing that sliped by.

Well, if it's that bad, I would tend to assume the mirror(s) isn't original to the car. The original probably got knocked off and broken. When I knocked one of mine off one night as I was pulling into the garage (a little too fast as it was raining and I didn't have any t-tops at the time), I had to do some serious hammering to get the mirror mount right enough to put the mirror back on again. That's about what your problem sounds like.
