Bend in the hood

Hey guys, I have almost no experience with body work but I picked up an Iroc hood at the junkyard this weekend for $27 with just one bend in the corner where the headlights are. Could someone explain to me how I can do a good job fixing this or point me to a tutorial that would help? I'll upload a pic so you know what I'm dealing with. Thanks!

Re: Bend in the hood

Could you have found a better hood to start with? I don't know but I would think you could find a better hood right here on this forum in the classified section.

I wasn't in the market for a different hood in the first place. But I took the TPI from a junkyard iroc and thought this would go well with it for the price.

Use a hammer and dolly to get it as straight as possible. Watch out for oil can!

Re: Bend in the hood

Alright so I used a hammer and got the edge as straight as I can. I plan to stop by Harbor Freight on Monday and Walmart to pick up a paint gun and some bondo/filler. My last questions are what do I use to sand it? And where do I buy the paint? I have bright red. (and how many coats?) Thanks all.
