I am only seventeen and this is my third car(and second camaro)...former owner of 88 RED HARDTOP WITH IROC HOOD TAILLIGHTS..RIP(I had my first kiss and loss my virginity in that car..god bless america

 

Underneath the hood insulation you'll see the crappy little stamped metal nuts that screw on to the little plastic pieces that stick down through the hood. They just unscrew and the louvers pop off. Just be careful when tightening them back on that you don't break the plastic. Classic Industries sells new ones for about $60 each.

Try your GM dealership first. There's a good chance they'll be cheaper. Also, when you reinstall, coat the plastic studs with a bit a lubricant. Putting the nuts back on will be less stressful for the plastic.
