1991 firebird to gta swap help
i currently have a 1991 v6 firebird and trying too turn it into a GTA.
Anyone know what the color combinations were for that year?
How hard it is to swap from the 120 speedometer to the 140
how can i install the power mirrors?
I am trying to make this look as authentic as possible to the GTA without changing the engine.
I currently have the GTA hood installed, and have the tail light assembly but is not yet installed.
any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,
cjsporl

The following are the codes and corresponding production numbers for each exterior color available for the 1991 Trans Am GTAs:
10U -- Exterior Color, White -- 377
41U -- Exterior Color, Black -- 446
45U -- Exterior Color, Medium Green Metallic -- 508
75U -- Exterior Color, Brilliant Red Metallic -- 222
81U -- Exterior Color, Bright Red -- 384
87U -- Exterior Color, Gunmetal Metallic -- 98
The following are the codes and corresponding production numbers for each interior color combination available for the 1991 Trans Am GTAs:
19C -- Trim Combination, Black Cloth -- 105
192 -- Trim Combination, Black Leather -- 414
66C -- Trim Combination, Beechwood Cloth -- 233
662 -- Trim Combination, Beechwood Leather -- 808
82C -- Trim Combination, Medium Dark Grey Cloth -- 219
822 -- Trim Combination, Medium Dark Grey Leather -- 257
as far as converting the speedo. I do not know how hard it is to convert, but my 91 GTA has a 120 speedo. :/
Id start with the Ultima seats with adjustable lumbar support. What colors are you wishing to use?
Interior panels with the "perforrmance" badges. "ws6 performance suspension" one under the map pack and Ive seen very few radio face plates that said "performance sound" (I WANT IT!) and Ive looked. hard to find
Throw on some GTA crosslaces, and a whale tale spoiler and call it good.
I Love the older GTA door panels...although i dont believe they came with them in 91-92 cause of the side door cup holders

Re: 1991 firebird to gta swap help
The power mirrors will be the hardest part. First, you will have to find good power mirrors, then a good PM switch. After you have shelled out a pretty penny for those you will have to remove your seats and console so you can run the wiring under the carpet. It's possible some models have that wiring already there, but none of the non PM cars I've pulled did.
Also, the most obvious interior feature of the GTAs is the seats, good luck finding some good ones.
