What is the easiest way to fill/smooth the holes that attach the side moldings. Mine were riveted on at the ends and I removed them before it gets painted. I do have a welder if that is the best method to fill them. How should I go about it? Should I just let the paint shop do it?
How difficult is it to fill small holes with solder(tinning)? Can I use plumbing solder or is its composition different than body repair solder such as what Eastwood sells? The holes are 1/8-3/16" diameter and there are two in each quarter and two in each door.

I think it would be best to try and weld them shut, but the sheet metal is probably not very think so you would have to be careful not to burn holes in it. So you might want to have a body shop do it for you. Unless you have some experience.

Have the bodyshop do it unless you've had some good experience in body work. Nothing worse than a wavy looking panel.
