T-Top Rust
T-Top Rust
What would be the best way to address this? I'm thinking get it blasted with a small sand or media blaster, then some rust converter/primer. From the looks of it there is supposed to be some weather stripping or something over it. Is that the case?
Surprisingly the t-tops do not leak but I want to stop the rust before it gets any worse.

Re: T-Top Rust
Yeah , your not going to like this but with that much rust showing your going to have to pull all that rubber out of there because I bet that underneath all that nice rubber there is a rust field. Im restoring an 87 and mine was not showing as bad as yours but as soon as I took all the rubber out and the center bar whoa !!!! surprize surprize. But all of my car is going to the metal so was not a big issue.
