Can someone please tell me if I can swap the wheel in my 91Z to put a non-airbagged wheel,like from an 86 IROC? To take it off in the first place,I have to disconnect the battery, and from behind undo the airbag from the wheel and then undo the wheel from the column,right? Thanks in advance

This subject has come up at least twice in recent weeks, rather than waste other peoples time answering a question thats already been asked, take a few seconds, click the search link and type in steering wheel and see what you find. I, for one, did the search.

The posts were in conflict on a few facts, but it seems to be possible to both put on a Grant wheel on a 90-92 and disable the SIR warning light.

What I didn't find is if you use the instalation kit from th '89 year or not. (plus one washer)

I also didn't see how to disable the SIR warning light circut.
