Re: hatch alignment

how are you moving your hatch around to make your adjustments? another thing to look at is your bumpers under the deck, that will need to be tinkerd with a tad as well.

have you removed the struts? if not, completely remove them so the hatch will be un loaded. dropping the latch so it dosen't restrict adjustment whilst moving the glass around is also needed.

be sure you have your L to R adj first, this centers it in the hatch jam. this is done with the bolts under the glass and will req a friend. this dosent take much.

after thats done loosen the nuts under the hatch to headliner panel and then scoot the glass around as needed with it resting like its closed. once its where you want it then cinch the nuts back down and replace your struts and re adj your hatch latch.

sounds like alot but it shouldn't take more than 40 mins or so. don't expect perfection as 3g build quality wasnt as strict as they are these days.

i thought my hatch was warped till one day i was standing behind my formula and noticed the panel that meets the hatch lip on the pas side was ¼ in longer than the dr side and its never been hit as both panels have the vin sticker inside, its a factory oddity.
