Any tips on aligning a hood

Was wondering if anyone had a suggestion on how i would go about aligning the hood on my camaro. It doesn't have hinges or a latch, it uses 4 hood pins to hold the hood on. The previous owner looks like he got it close but it over laps the bumper and doesn't match the fenders. My question is since the holes are already drilled does anyone have any suggestions on how to move the pins over so that i can align the hood? I know it sounds easy just drill new holes and move it but im worried about it loosening up and just sliding back to the inital spot. Its pouring rain right now so I will try and post pics tommorrow if im lucky. Once i get some extra dough i plan on buying hinges and somehow attach them since the PO butchered the holes by using steel hood struts on a fiberglass hood. Oh and the hood is an aftermarket ram air cowl induction. Im hoping by getting the hinges on will help with the alignment and I can just make the rear hood pins fake.
