buffing waxing polishing

I just bought a new Craftman Buffer and was wondering... Do you use a buffer to polish your car and then do you wax it with the buffer too. do you put the polish and wax on with the buffer and take ot off with the buffer too. Thanks a lot.

I used a buffer once on mine this summer, but after I applied wax with it the finish just didn't seem to be as deep. It might be my imagination but hand rubbing my car seems to get the best results. Its a little more work but in the end its worth it. Cleaning the pads on the buffer got to be a pain between applications, especially while i was experimenting with different rubbing compounds.
