How do I get off the....

Hey guys, how do I get off the steering wheel surrounding thing? You know that black part that covers the steering wheel column...

Ummm, #5 and #2... I need to have access to the bright/dimmer switch basically (not the one that actually does the brightening and dimming, but the part that is on the column)

The switch is in the dash , what exactly are you try to get to?

I know the switch is in the dash, the switch works just fine, I can do it by hand, but right now my bright/dimmers don't work unless the steering wheel is tilted all the way up. I think the little metal connector is busted off of the "handle" or whatever you want to call it.
