oh yeah what is color sanding, what is the best polish ti us to get a mirror shine after i'm through??

I havn't done this YET but as I understand it, there is a flex agent that should be mixed into the paint to keep it from cracking and there is a special primer just for the plastic parts. I believe it's called 'Bond-aid'. Like I said, I don't have any personal experience with this yet, but it's a place for you to start researching.

I prepped my bumper (and whole car) when I brought it to Maaco, so..
I stripped the bumper down to bare urethane with power tools. If your paint is fine, then you just need to scuff-sand the surface with 320 grit, but you probably know that already...
I sprayed the bare urethane with "Flexible Bumper Adhesion Promoter". Then I shot it with "Flexible Bumper Primer". I bought both cans at Pep Boys- I think they were made by Plastikote.
Mixing a flex additive in with the paint for the front bumper might not be worth it- it seems that whenever those bumpers get hit, whether it's a factory paint job (with flex), aftermarket job with flex, or aftermarket job without flex, the paint still cracks.

Yeah, except that without the flex agent the rear aero spoilers on 85-90 firebirds can seriously crack and warp without being hit.
