RS to IROC
RS to IROC
Hi All:
i recently totalled my 88 IROC-Z, and bought an 88 RS to replace it. The engine and transmission were both new, and i want to put my existing components into the RS, IE Rear end, engine, transmission, suspension,computer, ETC. if anyone could, pelase tell me all the sway bars, wonder bars and such difference between the IROC and the RS. rollerrockers, lifters, double rolling timing chair, rebuilt 700R4 w./ corvette servo's on 1&2, 3.27 rear end.
basically. you are looking at the parts you listed:
sway bars bigger on IROC
wonderbar
rearend
springs
and while you are switching these things. go with polyeurethane bushings. and the engines are diff. and get some aftermarket suspension pieces now.
IE torque arm.
LCAs
panhard bar.
and stuff.
and hopefully your IROC rims are ok. so you can put those on the RS. and post some pics man.. i want to see your creation.
and do you have any pics of the IROC you totalled. those would be neat also. thanks

I am doing the same thing with a 88 IROC to 89 RS and I belive the list has been coverd. I found that most of the parts you will notice are a little different when you accutaly go to swap the parts. I would also like to see any pics you have. And I will let you know if I run into any big suprises.
