More an more rot im finding
Ok so im doing rust repairs on my 88 gta so far found rot in the front drivers side floor an passenger side floor in the front portion of the floors also some in the rear wheel wells also at the bottom of both quarters not to bad there though. i got two decent floor pieces off a buddy of mine which is getting replaced in a couple of days an mig welded in. But for the top of the rear wheel wells how would i replace those places ??? i got a 4Lx5w ft piece of sheet metal laying around would that be good enough to use to replace the wheel well rot ???? Other then that those spots the car is percectly solid

its hard to replace those parts w flat sheet metal cause of the curve of the well and the lip that it has, can you go to a junk yard and cut the piece off a nother ta? boy im sure glad i dont live in the north anymore i dont miss that salt spray on the roads

No i cant go to the bone yard an cut out that piece cause most of them in the bone yard around here are rotted as well the sheet metal i got is easy to bend so hopefully ill be able to just bend into a close of enought shape an the weld it in then Repaint over with rust preventive paint then rubber undercoat it

Update ok everyone i found more in the strut tower well i removed all the factory rubber undercoating thank god its only little tiny holes that rotted through also found rot in the rear inner wheel wells but its rotted at the bottom of the arch just to where it starts to bend upwards so im just gonna replace that as well would regular 18 guage sheet metal work fine for all of these places ????
