So my car is being completely painted, body redone and the whole deal. It is a 1989 firebird and we are painting it white. Problem is, the entire weatherstripping needs to be replaced. With that being said, im on a budget, and cant afford the whole set of weatherstripping. I am not going to actually drive the car for a while, I just need to make sure that the inside doesn't get wet/or anything that shouldn't get wet doesn't. My dad wants me to just get the T-Top weatherstripping for now, and buy the outer window weatherstripping later...Is it a bad idea to just replace the T-Top weatherstripping, and leave the door/window weatherstripping off? I am just thinking that the water will pool up, and cause rust, or leak into the car from the window. Also What is a good company to buy the weatherstripping from, I hear there are some rip off weatherstripping kits that don't last to long. Any help is appreciated.

That's a good start, but I would really seal the doors up also,a lot of water gets in the doors without the sweeps on.
