i agree with the stop smoking. at least in the car. no one who rides with me can smoke in my cars.
i think the cheapest whay is to buy seat covers.
LOL, you could put a little patch...

Plans for an LT-1 or LT-4,
also plans for dual flowmaster exaust.

Got a corvette when i was 16, paid for it myself, screwed the engine up (idiot light didnt work, and i trusted the guy when he said he just changed the oil), and it turned into a project car.
now my TA is my daily driver. not a bad one, but it needs to be faster.

I'm not going to say it cuz somebody already has, but why don't you just put them in the ashtray like it was made for? (if you're so worried about it)

EDIT: just thought of something though, you could try slipping a small patch into the hole, try to lay it flat with the glue side up. Iron it to activate the glue, now you'll have the patch with the hole, put some glue in that recessed hole and glue a piece of fabric (same color, texture as seat) in there and see if that helps.

In response to this topic... I Don't care if you smoke or not.. That's definately not my problem.. My question is also how to fix crap like this.. for instance the common camaro problem is getting in and out and making a hole in the seat.. where can one get a new seat (driver side) without the damn hole in it??

Check your local phone book for interior shops... Most of the car dealers around here have a local vinyl shop repair cigarette burns in seats. I had a hole the size of a baseball in one of teh backseats in my formula. They repaired it and you can't tell unless you really look for it. I show the car with the seat repaired and even I forget that it was burned most of the time.

ok first off, Drew, thank you for the sound advice. it was the first post of the nine that actually talked about the solution.
second off, hmm i did not remember asking any of our "seasoned members" to comment on my ****ing smoking habit!! and no ****, was that ashtray really designed to put ciggeretts in? cmon *******s, did momma make your milk to warm to drink, or are you truelly wasting your posts on this thread? i have a problem with my interior having a couple of burns in it, other than a moderator posting good info, all ive heard is bull****. cmon guys we have to remember something here, one of these days when you have to use the services of this board, your going to need help. im sure the last thing your going to want to hear is some ******* stating the obvious. ahem...damn..all this bitching worked me up for another ciggerette!! while im at it, i think i will hop in the formula and put my smoke out in the other seat despite the fact i have a ashtray! have a nice day

whoa buddy, theres no need to be getting pissed off here. But thats ok, i'll just make sure i dont read anymore posts from you. someone asked about replacement seats and i answered the question. New seats wouldnt be a bad idea for you either, especially not for that low of a price. You cant expect people to not make stupid comments about things like this, cause someone always will...

To RED DEMON:
Your Welcome!

PS: dont bother posting anything in response to this cause im not opening this post anymore.

yeah zup I know youll read this anyway, but not posting to this thread wont bother my self esteem or anything. before you jump the gun and get defensive, please do not add fuel to the fire and think i was personally taking shots at you. i wasnt. i simply asked a direct question about upolstery, not the use of ashtrays or smoking habits. that is as simple as i can put it. im all right with the fact that you do not want to read my posts, its cool. but dont get principles and personalities mixed up here. im sorry if i hurt your feelings, after looking at my post, i probably could have wrote it better.

To patch the driver's seat where you slide in and out and the fabric wears I bought two little iron on 3" x 2" American flags at the fabric store and ironed them over the holes. To most it looks like it was an intentional decoration. Check ebay.com for iron on patches and see all kind of neat things -- crossed racing flags, bow ties, etc. Might try the same thing for cig burns until you get new seats. You may wanna put the patch at the same location on both seats to make it look more symetrical and "planned."
