KEYLESS ENTRY?

For those of you that installed keyless entry in your cars Where did you put/mount the control box that came with the system?

I bought a kit for my car but haven't started it yet.

thanks

Did some thirdgens come with keyless entry systems and remote starters as a dealer option? I have that on my 89 RS and I thought it was something that the previous owners added but I went to a junkyard and two of the three camaros had atleast a keyless entry system. The one that didn't was a 82 Z28.

I strung mine all the way across the dash and the control box resides just behind that useless little paper holder on the passenger side. Yeah, the one where the glove box should be. It slid up right beside where that other computer doo-hickey goes.

Or you could get a car alarm that allows keyless entry like mine does.

I think the company that manufactured mine is called "Autopage" or something like that, but I've used the keyless entry so much, that the logo has long since faded.

I have a carbine 4000c and it is hooked up to the power locks and the power trunk. It is put into the wiring harness up under the steering column. This is the second one I had put in. I didn't do it myself. To damn many wires and too nice of a car for me to mess up.
