My POWER ANTENNA MOTOR WON'T SHUT OFF??!!!!!!!!!!

I had to cut the wire going to it from inside the fender and now I can't push down the antenna !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Is it the motor,how much are replacements and hopw easy are they to install?????????CAN I PUSH THE ANTENNA DOWN MANUALLY??????

Mike, I had the same problem with mine. The antenna mast has a nylon-plastic band at the bottom that wraps around a plastic piece inside the antenna motor assembly. On mine the plastic band (looks like a long cable tie with teeth) was broken, and since the antenna wouldn't go down the motor would just keep running - it couldn't sense the antenna was down so it kept pulling. I pulled the whole antenna assembly out (pain in the *** , but it does come out through the inner wheel well) and bought a new mast assembly from GM It was about $56. You probably can't push the antenna down because the band is jammed in the motor.

It's a pain, but not that difficult.
