Functional SS Hood

I am looking at the American sports car SS hood for your cars. They are telling me that it is a non-functional ram air hood! Does anyone know what needs to be done to the hood to make it a functional ram air? Also any ideas as to what to use as a air filter w/ this setup would be great.

I thought about fabricating a tube to make mine functional but after further inspection I came with a big problem I have a complete Lingenfelter set up so when I closed my hood the SS hood opening is like two inches from my throttle body the bend would have to be so dramatic I just decided never mind and put a cone filter on it. I dont know if you bought the hood yet but its a pretty good finish and the look is awesome. But is your is an RS then you could probably make something work. Just not if you have tpi.
