Can I dye a headliner?
Ok here's my plan. I'm probably picking up a mint black headliner, but my interior is gray. I hace 4th gen gray and black seats, and I was tinking of coloring the headliner to match, with the sides black and gray in the middle. So can this be done, how and with what?
i'm in the same boat you are, i need a black headliner, found a grey one. i think you could use spray paint but it would have to be a light color to go grey, i doubt black will go to grey easy. if its a hardtop headiner then recover, t-top liners are too hard to do, to many curves
Compared to just reupholstering it or getting the right one, it's not worth the effort. I had mine reupholstered including the sail panels for $60, and he did such a good job, I went back and had him cover my speakerbox (the one in my tech article) which he did for $20.
I dyed my carpet, and it turned out like crap.
