I'm gonna be getting ahold of an 86 firebird with those one piece (not bucketed) seats in the next week or so. The seats are alright, but nothing special. I'd like to do them up in leather. Is this a terribly hard thing to do? Could I just pull the cover off the seats, unseam it, and cut out leather pieces to match, and sew those up? TIA

I went just yesterday to this place here called Jerome Fabric. They probably have a simular store by your house. They had all kinds of material and headliner also. My plan is to buy the leather(which they had along with leather like material) and have a upholster(I can't sew) do my seats. This way I can have embrodery in the head rest and put in another material also if I chose. Let me know your plan.

I do know of a small private place about a half hour from my place. I don't know about prices, but they probably are decent. I can get someone else from around town to sew them up, and I really would like to have Firebird and the logo on my seats as well. It'd jus be kickass. While I'm at it, a restuffing as well.
