98 T/A seats

Hello . I installed a set of T/A seats in my 87 T/A and they hane the inflateable sid bolsters. I was wondering if anyone knew the wireing diagram for the compressor and controls. I want to get them functioning. I wasnt given the plug to go with the seats when i got them.

Sorry, I can't help you with the wiring on your seats. I would like to know how much hassle it was to install the 4th gen seats? I have an 84 Z-28 that has a set of Recero's in it now. My wife hates them. They have been recovered, and the padding is too stiff. I would like to put a new leather interior in the car, and I;m curious as to what is involved?

4th gen seats are a direct bolt in from my info. I have heard that the Firebird seats offer a little more support than the camaro ones.

Well, I know I've seen this question before because I printed out the response so that I can do it later. Of course, I can't find that sheet so do a search on "seat" or something to find it...

I put 98 t/a seats in my 1992. They were dual power lumbar six way adjustable. The pumps for both seats are under the passenger seat. The motor for the driver's power seat is under the driver's seat.

Mine already had the wiring harnesses attached so I don't have the diagrams (I do have a 1992 service manual but that won't help you at all). If it would help you I could take digital photos of the pigtail connector from the wiring harness. I don't know if that would help you or not.

The alternative is to go to a GM dealer and ask a friendly parts counter guy if he can print out the diagram from their CD.

Why not just get the right stuff from a junkyard? Then it's all factory, & if you decide to sell or trade them you have the full setup, not a bunch of hacked up wiring?

When I did mine I got everything from the plug the seat harness plugs into, then got a plug off a thirdgen power seat, & made an adapter using the two cutoff plugs. So now I have intact factory wiring for everything, nothing at all was cut either on my car or the new seat harness.
And you should be able to get it cheap at the yard, since so many seats are ripped out without all the wiring.
