Does anyone agree w/ me that the 91-92 Body Styles suck to find parts for? I mean, everything I need, I can never find at a junkyard and have to pay HIGH prices just to get them. Although I did pick up my bumper cover for 142.50.
Sorry, just venting.

Well... I don't know if I could agree with you or not... Most of the parts I've needed haven't been too difficult to find, but as for interior pieces, plastics and such, I've been on the hunt for front seatbelt receivers in the color I need for a LONG time and FINALLY found some and will hopefully get them sometime next week - I am a happy camper... what kind of parts are you looking for that are hard to find?

Hey, I think it all depends on what your looking for. If your looking for parts that were 91-92 specific, then I would say its tough to find. In BC at least. All the scrap yards have 86 and older Camaros and birds. ICBC has all the rest in there huge lot that sit there for who knows how long. ICBC is a part of the government for those of you who don't know. They take all the written off cars and keep them until they are like 10-15 years old...

LMFAO!!! I have been cursing my car ever since I bought it. The body style looks great but it is impossible to buy parts for where I live. I need a new chin spoiler and they want $315 for it!!!!! I haven't found any place that makes after market body panels for it. I think 91-92 is the orphan of the f-bodies hahah. I say all this but I love my baby!! You just need a think wallet.

Hey Purpleworm, I'm in the same boat. I finally found one at www.copartfinder.com but the guy wanted to sell me the whole front clip. All the local junkyards around here only have 84 and older Camaros. I also need one center cap for my 16's and that's been hell to find too.
I haven't had problems finding parts for mine.. then again my good friend knows lots of speedshops and other places that can hook me up with parts..

Let's see. My front bumper cover was hard to find, as was the 1 piece of GFX I needed. My front left headlight is off an 88, so the trim bezel won't work on my car, and I can't find a trim bezel for the right side, so my headlights look ghetto. The fog lights need replacin, I bought the front driving lights from dealer, and some of the interior pieces such as my shifter plate console is a lil different.

HEY GUYS, TRY CHECKING OUT EBAY. DO A SEARCH. TYPE IN EITHER "92 Z28", "92 CAMARO"(THIS WILL SEARCH THEIR DATA BASE FOR THIRDGEN PARTS CAUSE MOST THIRDGEN PARTS ARE LISTED AS 82-92 BLAH BLAH BLAH), "CAMARO", OR JUST "Z28." IF YOU DON'T TYPE IN THE YEAR, THEN IT WILL LIST EVERYTHING THEY HAVE FOR CAMAROS. I HAVE FOUND A LOT OF THIRD GEN PARTS ON EBAY AND AT A GOOD PRICE TOO. JUST GOTTA HAVE PATIENCE CAUSE EVEN IF THE PART IS NOT THERE IT WILL EVENTUALLY GET ON EBAY. THERE ARE A LOT OF INTERIOR AS WELL AS EXTERIOR PARTS, MOSTLY USED AND SOME NEW TOO. CHEAPER THAN BUYING NEW FROM THE DEALER. HOPE THIS HELPS.

Ebay is great if you live in the US but Canadians like me have a terrible time! It costs us twice as much to build a car here. My little junk bucket has $12,000 in it and doesn't look or work as good as your $6,000 cars! I think I should build a links page dedicated to finding parts for 91-92 F-body's. Alot of you guys have found some cool places to get stuff. I would love to know where I coulod by speed parts for my Z28 in Canada!! I feel bad for the european guys HAHAH!

Hey purpleworm, I know just how you feel. I live in Hawaii and shipping and parts finding is just as hard, but it still works out for me. Some places even think Hawaii is International. Can you believe that? And by the way, we don't live in grass shacks, at least most of us anyway

hey jennifer, check e-bay. In the past six months i have seen two convertible spoilers for sale there. I am looking for interior parts which suck to find. You are new to the board it seems. Try asking about the spoiler in the history restoration board. The convertible owners frequent that board most of the time.

The clear lens for your gauges can be sanded and polished with some elbow grease, 600 grit, 1000 grit, rubbing, and polishing compunds.
There are compunds specific for plastic, but the above will gain 95% visibility.

why not just buy a new one from gm? can't be too much money. I need one because my overlays make the crap on the cover very visisble.
