griffen radiator

I just put in a griffen and I was curious on what people did about the fact that the stock radiator shround does not fit. Have one custom made if so does anyone have specs to have one done.

I just got mine installed as well. I was going to make a fiberglass shroud but went with this plastic called Kydex. Took me all day to use a heat gun to mold it the way I wanted to, but it doesn't look half bad.

I've since gone back and smooth out the lumpy look and it looks pretty good if I do say so myself.

Call around to some "plastics" manufacturers in your area and tell them you want a plastic that is about an eighth of an inch thick that you can form with a heat gun, that will retain it's shape once it cools.

Good luck,

Does anyone have one that is a polished look. If not I think the plastic will do nicely.

Not that I know of, no. If you've got a lot of spare time and easy access to a junkyard, you could drive your car down and just swap until one fits, then get it chromed...

Sounds like a huge pain in the @ss though.

Awesome engine bay for sure!

Wouldn't that plastic stuff warp from the radiator heat over time?

Thanks and I'll let you know after some time has passed! Since it takes about 400 degree air held on it for a good sixty seconds to get it hot enough to bend I figger it should be okay for this use. If my radiator is getting that hot I've got some serious issues...
