How to move power window with no power ??
How to move power window with no power ??
I have a new driver's side door for my '86Z that came off an '88 GTA. I need to get the ground effect off the bottom and the window is in the way of one of the bolts on the inside of the door. I need to move the window a couple inches. I tried just pushing on the bottom of it but i didn't want to push too hard. Any suggestions appreciated.

A 12v battery and two pieces of wire. Or a battery charger. Touch the wires to the plug for the window regulator.

i'd be careful.. you sure it needs that much power to move, or are you gonna fry something real fast?

Just as 82 TRANS AM said, just use a couple of pieces of wire to touch the terminals. (the motor is 12v anyway)
If it goes the wrong way, switch the wires. You won't fry anything unless you touch both wires together.
