when I am in my car and flip the hatch switch sometimes it goes up...then goes back down. and sometimes it goes up...and opens. why does it go up then close?

 

If your hatch hydrolics(sp?) aren't strong enough to lift the hatch off the latch when you pop it, then it will relock itself & pull back down, or, the latch is sticking & you just need to grease it.
