Front Fascia sag

Does anyone know the trick of unsagging a front fascia (i.e. 1985 T/A)? It looks like kids have climbed up on it right in the center before the hood and has pressed each side down into a dip. I'd like to try to bring this back up to match the hoodline. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hey,

I think I have the same problem as you. (You eman that there is a sag on teh top of the nose piece right?) I asked the question before and I gto 2 options as response:

1) Buy Bumper Repair Kit at a Parts Tore (Its Bondo that will stick to your bumper)

2) Take off the bumper, heat it from inside, sanp back into original shape, and reinforce from the inside.

I haven't tried either one of these techniques, but I'll get aorund to it either this upcoming weekend or the next one.

I've tried the heating technique with little or no results, unfortunately. I'm sure that it would work, I guess I'll have to try different stretching maneuvers. Let me know your results when you do it...give me some hope!!!

Car: too many ...
Actually, I got the same problem on my 89 rs ... but my car got damaged in an accident and the repair shop screwed my mom over (she was maintaining the car @ the time). I've looked over it again and again, and the only thing I can think of is that the brackets that secure the front were bent and now there is a 1/4 inch gap between the hood and the front part ... looks ugly!! looks like mostly everything else has been replaced but there is still that gap. does anyone know how the front mounts onto the car? are there brakets that are replaceable? thanks for any info ...

I know what you mean. I've had mine off and apart and put back together, and the only think I can see is the whole panel where the hood latch is mounted is what holds the fascia in position. I have to make some bends or something to straighten mine out as well. I don't know if it would be easier to take one off a rear end crunched donor, or buy a new one, becuase to get the right angle would be a pain in the ****. I'm just going to jack up the front part using some extensions and try to forcibly move and bend that panel until it matches up right.
