i have an 89 gta with the brown carpet. what would be the best way to clean the carpets because they're pretty dirty.

Depends on what the stain is. I like Tuff Stuff. It is in a yellow and red bottle and works really well. If you are just looking for a general clean, I would try a steam cleaner (rent at a hardware store or such). There is always buying new carpet. It really isn't all that expensive, just take the time to put it in yourself. It isn't hard to do, and you can run wires for subs and such while you have it out.
