What would you pay for this?

1992 Z28, 355, mild cam, Hooker 2460 headers, 3" exhaust.
Paint isn't too good. Only rust is on the lip of the hood and light surface rust between the hood blisters. T-tops have 2 small leaks. No headliner. 3 decent cracks in the dash. One rip on side of driver seat. All electronics work. 90,xxx on the engine and tranny. Body has 198,xxx. Drives great but needs body and interior work. I'm not looking to sell it. Just curious.

Re: What would you pay for this?

Based on the description given, I'd say no more than $12-1500 today. My reasons being that the car needs body work, which is expensive. It needs paint, it needs an interior, it needs weatherstripping, it needs a headliner and dashpad. All of this adds up to $5k or more depending on the quality of the work. For a total of $6500, you could get a car with less miles and in better overall condition. I recently looked at a 1987 Trans Am with 14k miles for $7500. The car was all original and in mint condition.

Re: What would you pay for this?

I agree with Scott, I paid a bit more than that for my RS and it needs some body work, but over all the car is very soild, runs and drives great, has an awesome custome sound system in it and it's been well taken care of. Also my car only has 108K on it.
