Why my hood sits crooked!

Think I can see the problem. This picture shows the drivers side and the bit circled is what the back of the hood sits on when closed. As you can see it's rubbing badly. How can I fix this- cut away the weld? Any ideas?

Just put a small grinder on there if it's weld, stupid question but are you sure that not seam caulking.

Are the bumpers adjusted? Should hit those before it would hit seam sealer.

Re: Why my hood sits crooked!

It was caulking guys, trimmed it away no worries. The bumper on that side was right down too so adjusted that.

Weird though, if I lift the hood on the windscreen end on the drivers side (right at the back of the hood) I can life the hood 2 inches or so but can't do that on the passenger side. What would be causing that- a faulty hinge?

My hood is wobbly like that too. When I go to open it, one side opens more/faster than the other side. I'm pretty sure it's from play in the hinges. I was able to tighten mine up with a little heat and a hammer/punch. Its better but its nowhere near perfect.
