Paint Touch-Up Help

I have quite a few spots on my car where a little bit of rust formed and the previous owner decided that it would be a good idea to glob white-out onto it. I don't have the money right now to get a new paint job, so I want to hide it as best I can. Any steps I should follow to actually do touch-ups and make them blend in??

BTW, I also want to find out what the closest match to the white paint that GM used on the 87 Camaros is (if someone could please tell me).

your best bet would be to get a pro quality paint and a HVLP gun obviously, assuming you don't have that, go to an auto-body shop and tell them you need a touch-up can mixed, they should be able to do it using the same quality paint.
EDIT:should read auto paint supply store

First thing, get rid of the rust!! If you only cover it it will just come back.

I was just thinking about trying that touch-up tutorial in the tech section and I'm thinking about just carefully sanding the rust out (if I can). I was also wondering if anyone has tried following that little tutorial and if it looked good.

The best place to look for touch-up paint is the nail polish isle at your favorite store. Espescially if your looking for red. I've found gray, white, black, hugger orange and most others. Just make sure that you get enamel. You cna also mix the colors if you can find the exact shade you need.
