"Power Buldge" Hood ?

I just put an open air cleaner on my LG4 83 T/A.. I had to remove the motor thing that opened the vent for the hood, to get the cleaner to fit..

Basically now all I have is an opening in the hood with the screen.. Is this going to cause any problems as far as rain water getting on the motor?

Please advise.. Thanks....

What kind of open air cleaner did you get? I'm trying to find a good one for my car.

With this car, it's never a question of "can I...", only "will I..."!

I run mine like that and I haven't had a problem. We don't get tropical rainstorms here though.
