I successfully broke my driver side t-top today.. just one of MANY problems I've been having over the last week. I can't figure out the clutch rod thing, now it has weird *** electrical problems(interesting b/c I haven't TOUCHED a wire through this whole process.), and after cutting myself on the pedal assembly and pulling myself up off the floor board either my head or my hand broke the damn t-top.. not sure which.. I was SO pissed i couldn't tell what hurt and what didn't. At any rate. they're $700 EACH from GM.. I can't afford that.. I"m looking at having to spend my whole next paycheck on the damn car.. to fix the electrical ****, and the clutch pedal.. and i'm supposed to be saving for college(only a month and a half left at that!!!!).. Anyone know where I can get one? it's for a 92 Camaro, RS.. it has the acrylic t-tops. The dealer is telling me that the glass ones don't fit?? I went looking today.. and the shafts that hold them on are smaller on all the tops(glass) that I've seen than the ones on my tops. Thanks in advance.

Anthony

Glass ones supposedly do fit--many people switch them over because they don't like plastic ones. I have a set of pin style locking T's in decent shape w/a bag if you're interested.

p.s I may be interested in that pair if I can't find anything locally.. I doubt seriously that my car will be done this week.

There's no reason why glass tops shouldn't fit. The center piece that the tops slide under was the same from 86-92 & the actual roof itself was the same from 87-92 (based on parts listings). The only part you may need to swap out is if the locking pins are different would be the strikers (where the pins slide in to)

I just swutched fron the plastic one to glass , Gm would replace them with glass ones , because they tend to warp in extream heat , I have my plastic ones the reason i switch is the drivers side has a small crack in it about and inch or so long but it doesnt leak or anything either, if you interested im going to be selling them
