rust hidden under the ground effects if it has any, rust in the rear wheel wells up top right above the tires...
body panel misalignments...
low miles on the odometer and high wear on the brake pedal (this combo is bad)...
rear hatch electrical lift system that works (not required...just one of my favorites )...
hopefully clean interior...
depending on your age and insurance capabilities... a 350 or 305...
anyone else? ? ?

1. make sure it runs
2. look under it for leaks, also ask where they usually park it, a trick is to park it somewhere else when people come to look at it so no oil/tranny leaks are on the floor
3. check all the buttons/switchs in the car (door locks, ac/heater, rear hatch, lights and anything else)
4. feel the hood to see if its hot. the car may have a rough start at first so they will let it warm up and turn it off so when you get their it will turn over easy
5. take a notice of the exhaust smoke color
6. tires, look for excessive wear
7. oil, check color and ask when it was last changed
8. tranny fuild, notice color and smell
9. pull the rear seats away from the carpet a little to see if the carpet is wet or staind (if it is, it has a leak)
