ATTN: Anyone who has re-done their headliner

I need to re-cover my headliner soon. I have it all disconnected, except for the dome lamp. How do I get that stupid thing down? Is there some trick to it? When I do get it down, is there anything I can use to strengthen it? Thanks guys.

Take the dome light cover off by squeezing it and pulling it off. To get the case off, there are two metal retainers on either side holding it up; pull these off with a flathead screwdriver and/or a pair of pliers. Be careful that you don't short it out with the pliers and blow the fuse! I did this taking it off AND putting it back on!!

If you notice the light is mounted to a piece of the frame. I guess the engineers figured it was better to have two little pegs coming out of it than drill holes for screws.

BTW, what is the best method for removing the sail panels? The ones that run along side the windshield and bove the doors.

Hope that helps

Can I use the fiberglass even though I have a hardtop car? I am guessing I can. Thanks.
