Leak in floor *SOLVED*
So one day I was washing my car and when I was done I noticed a wet spot the size of fist under the floor mat, drivers side, closer to the drivers seat than the pedals. I checked under the car right under the wet spot but I didn't see any holes or cracks. The car isn't a T-top.
Has anyone had a leak like this before? I don't want a to rust a hole through the floor... I don't understand where exactly it's coming from. It couldn't have been dripping from somewhere because it was under the floor mat.
Thanks

Re: Leak in floor
We will need more info on the car. Is it t top? if so that could be leaking. The cowl area could be leaking down the firewall and to the carpet. The window seal could be leaking too. Water is a hard thing to trace. The only true way to trace it is to put a hoes on the car and change to different areas while you are inside it looking for the area that its coming in from

Re: Leak in floor
Well I finally got around to addressing the leak. It turns out it was the area around my hood latch release cable. The area around the grommet was very rusty and holes were present.
I also found that water leaks in through the main wiring harness where it enters the firewall right there next to the hood latch release cable... I might put a bead of silicone around where the harness enters...
Thanks for the reply 6SIX6.
