Just for interest sake does anyone know how to 'roll back' or stop the odometer on a 1988 GTA digital dash

 

If you disconnect your speedo, the odometer will go off with it. I don't know how to roll dig. ones back.

 

Put your rear wheels up on blocks and let it run in reverse ferris.

Hmm, why would you want to do that, sell a car with 170,000 miles on it as a car with 70,000 miles on it?

 

 

No, what I wanna know is why would you roll an odometer FORWARD??

 

Its illegal to roll back your odometer.

 

It's possible he replaced his digital dash with one that has a higher milage than his car actually has.

Unless you're like me and your regristration says your odometer is exempt

 

how is yours exempt?

 

High mileage vehicles become Exempt.....mainly because it's assumed their engines are changed. I believe the mileage also becomes exempt if you legally change your engine (go through all the paperwork to inform the DOT of the swap)

Here in PA any vehicle 10 years or older is milage exempt and will show that on your title. My 87 LB9 T/A 5spd only has 49K on it but the title still reads milage exempt.Boy does that **** me off.
