how do i take off my wiper arms

how do i take off my wiper arms

i have a 92 camaro and i want to take off as much of the arm as i can so that i can spray a nice new layer of black on it but i cant seem to get the damn things off. a while ago i heard someone say of some sort of pin and i think i have found what he meant but i still can't get them off... what gives?

There's a little tab sticking out right at where the arm mounts, lift the wiper arm up & (pry) pull the tab out (it doesn't come out very far). The arm will rest on this tab sitting off the glass, just pull (or pry) the wiper arm up & it should come off for you.

I asked about this before and tried the tab thing and still couldn't get the damn things off.. I didn't wanna break something so I didn't keep messing with them.

I think GM makes a special tool to remove these if you're still havin problems. check your local gm parts place to see if they can get one for ya
