Bear with me as I explain this. In my trunk area, next to the latch, I have four or five little silver things, on the top next to the latch, I have a black thing that matchs up to it. Anyone know what it is?

those are the contacts and strikers for the third brake lite.

 

Thanks, thought it was to pull the hatch down a little more (like on some cars).

nope, it's for the brakelight, on the pre-86 models it doubled for the power supply for the rear wiper assembly.

 

instead of rear wipers, mine has a CB antenna mount on it. I don't know if that is what it actualy is, but that's what the seller told me. They also installed the speakers and tape player with electrical tape instead of conectors. I thought the radio sounded fuzzy at first.
