Does anyone know if GM issued a recall for the crap lexan tops they used in 91 and 92. The ones on my 91 bird are lexan and they have tons of stress cracks and make a lot of noise. I read that someone may of thought they had a recall, but i am not sure. If you guys could help me, i would appreciate it.

Really odd.... i keep seeing that the 91 came with plastic tops yet my 91 t tops are glass.... Not sure about a recall however again mine are glass, heavy, tinted and fit great with no leaks...

 

There wasnt a recall but if you brougt them back when who ever got the car new and complained about them they would put glass tops in ,, I just replaced mine with a set of brand new glass tops that i found on ebay they are the ones dealers would use to replace the lexan tops

 

I like my lexan t-tops. They could use a new tint job but they dont give me any problems. Oh the only problem is on my drivers side T-top the pin likes to fall out, and if I ever lost that pin my t-top would not stay on the car

 

I love my lexan t-tops. They are way lighter than the glass ones and are easier to put up.
