Make 1991 Firebird look like Knight Rider

I like the '82 style because the car looks elongated, leaner and lower to the ground.

If I have the GFX removed from an RS '91 will it look like the '82 Trans Am (except for front end and spoiler of course)?

I don't want to create a KITT replica at this time, but I like the style...

With the gfx from a 91 rs it won't look like KITT. That car only has gfx on the front fenders and the front of the quarter panels. I am currently building a KiTT replica from my '85 firebird. All of of my gfx had to come off. I like the gfx on Camaros but not firebirds. It just doesn't look right on them. My opinion I guess. But there's a lot of work to do if you want to do a cosmetic looking KITT. You'll need:
-82 to 84 ta fenders. The 85 and + will work but the fender vents are longer.
-82-84 ta hood
-82-84 specific gfx
-82-84 turbocast rims ( hard to find)
-82-84 bowling ball hubcaps for the rims( even harder to find)

I sourced almost all of it except the hubcaps. If you have any questions feel free to ask me or anyone else. Lots of members here w lots of knowledge!

Re: Make 1991 Firebird look like Knight Rider

Thanks for the advice. I think the best looking KR replica I ever saw out there was the late KITT X Project. The owner kept the side ground effects on and it looked great. That's kind of what I am aiming to do. I was planning on getting the TA hood but keeping away from the fenders for now. And going with Turbo Fin not Turbo Cast wheels. Michael Knight, when you say specific GFX from 82-84, can you elaborate?

The gfx were only on the '82, 83 and some 84 trans am's where it had a fender extension (gfx) on the bottom from of the fenders and also at the front of the rear quarter panels behind the doors. It was shuttle but noticeable. If you google 1982 Trans am pictures. There's a black and gold trans am pictured. You'll see the extensions in talking about. But to each his own. It's your car an you are free to build it as you want. Good luck in your build.
If you go to my build thread you'll see the gfx that I had on my car. 1985 firebird restoration.
