I am thinking about ordering the 91-92 white grille with the red bowtie on it for my 89 RS. I was just wondering if this is a simple direct replacment for my existing grille? I am looking for the all white look from the front and don't like my current slotted black grille. Let me know what I am going to need other than just the new grille!!! THANKS!!!!!

 

Yes it is a direct swap. They mount slightly different, so you'll need to move the clips on the top to the outer position, and the rest of the torx heads (4) you need to screw directly into the urethane nose through the grille on either side of the bowtie.

Cool so there are no mods to my nose or the grille? My car is white with tinted windows and black GTA wheels. It looks tight and will look even better with the white grille!!!!!

 

Nope no mods, just the new holes for the screws.

 

I was considering this as well for my RS. But was reminded of the BIG price difference in the white over the regular black with white bowtie Z28 grill. It would be cheaper just to get a used one and paint it. Just another route to the same result.
