GTA wraparound spoiler hatch trim clips

GTA wraparound spoiler hatch trim clips
Has anyone removed these clips from the metal trim around the hatch glass? If so, how hard was it?
I'm considering switching to a type of spoiler that will not use these clips and don't want to leave them behind to catch on things like the wash mitt while cleaning the car. I'm exploring this as an option to replacing the entire hatch assembly with one that doesn't have these clips.
