engine bay brace
Was browsing Ebay, due to boredom, and came across this little engine bay brace. It is just a rod on the right side of the engine bay. My car has the mounting tabs for it, and I remember my 86 (i think) bird had one. What does it do? Why is it there? Would it be a worthwhile investment? I already have a Wonder Bar installed, could this little goody help out any? Just curious.

Re: engine bay brace
I haven't researched them on third gen's, but I've heard that it's more of an appearance mod than anything else on 4th gen's -- not really a noticeable difference with or without. I would imagine the benefits would be similar on a third gen as they share most of their suspension components.
