Does the driver's side door lock work? If so, then you probably just have to remove the passenger door panel and squirt some WD40 on the solenoid and the linkages. Do a search in this forum, there are a few articles dealing with it.
If your driver's side power lock doesn't work, then it's likely that the power door lock relay may have a loose connection (same problem in my '86 IROC). Remove the driver's side kickpanel; you'll see a little silver box screwed into the frame. Re-seat those connectors. You may want to put a few drops of WD40 on the connectors before you do that, though... WD40 is good stuff

Rudy, I would suggest checking the relay first. It's easier than taking off the door panel and lubricating the linkages. When I bought my '86 IROC, the doors would only unlock; they wouldn't lock. Reseating the relay connections fixed it. Read my previous post to IROCME for the location of the relay. Hope this helps.
