windshield wiper arms on 91

windshield wiper arms on 91
Guys...
Two questions....
To remove the windshield wiper arms on my 91 GTA, do I just pull the arms off?
Also, there's a hinge on the arms that allow the arms to be lifted up off off the glass. The problem is... my hood is in the way. I tried lifting them off the glass with the hood up, but that didn't work either...
Any ideas?

You pull them up slightly and there is a tab that you slide over that unlocks the arm from where it mounts. I'll try to get some pics...

Driver's side, pull up on the arm and slide this out.
Then you can pull it up with a rocking motion. Might need persuasion.
Pass. side, same concept...
