Automatic Rearview Mirror.
My rearview mirror doesn't do anything but sit there. i have heard others say that they automatically adjust when headlights come up from behind. I disconnected the wire harness going to it and reseated it, I tried adjusting the dial from 1 to 10 for distance, and I even used a flashlight on the sensor trying to trigger it. Nothing. Has anybody else had this problem and actually fixed it? What needs to be done? Thanks

Scott,
Try this:
Set the dial to "Far". You need to make sure the forward looking sensor detects NO light, so at night with the ignition on, shine a flashlight into the rearward looking sensor (flashlight shining forward). If the mirror doesn't adjust, it's an internal problem.
